I don’t know if it’s just easier to admire the style of someone who looks like you…but I’ve always admired Michelle William’s sense of style.
I’ve actually had this particular inspiration photo of her for a while but never acted on it.
But anyways, last Friday was casual Friday of course and the striped top with blue cropped pants seemed like the perfect outfit for something low key but not plain old jeans…
I LOVE her tuxedo blazer with the black lapels but a) I only have a plain white one and b) I wanted to go a bit more casual since it was Friday.

That’s it for now!
Thanks for stopping by!

Copy Cat: Pink, Mustard and…
Copy Cat: Pink and Polka Dots
I’ve had this inspiration photo for-ever…but it wasn’t until recently that I realized that I had (by complete coincidence)purchased a top to complete this copy cat look while in New York.

Heels: Chromatic Gallerie
I’m always looking for new looks for my pink blazer and the playfulness of the polka dot top is just perfect with the bright pink shade. Perfect for casual Friday too!
I’m loving my new Chromatic Gallerie heels too but bad news: I think they are a 1/2 size too small, which is weird because I bought another pair of heels from them in the 3 inch height (these are 4 inches) and they fit fine.
Hopefully I can stretch them out.
Have a great weekend!
Continuing on from the last post… I finished the week solidly in not only pants… but also a sweater, scarf AND a leather jacket.
It’s official. I turned into a cold weather wuss in 4 days.
It’s alright though. I’d been meaning to try out this look for a while since I spotted it on Go Chic or Go Home a while ago but haven’t found a black leather jacket I love yet.
At this rate I’ll show up to work in a cocoon by Monday.
Have a great long weekend!
It’s not just a weekend… a long weekend! Whoop whoop!
Today I was inspired by the Cameron Diaz photo I shared the other day:
I loved the simplicity of her paired down look as well as the edge and classic vibe of her tuxedo jacket. I had one similar to it in my closet that I had been meaning to dig out.
Here’s my super easy way to mimic this Tuxedo jacket look:
– Loose white T or tank
– Dark wash skinny jeans cropped to above ankle (or rolled)
– Black edgy heels
Jacket – Forever 21 | T-shirt – Smart Set | Jeans – Garage | Heels – Fergalicious via the Bay
Do you like a simple classic look for work or something a bit more girly?
